Robomania is back!

The Near North Student Robotics Initiative, FIRST Team 1305, through the generous support of Northgate Square is pleased to once again present RoboMania.

In this year’s 8th annual iteration of the team’s signature community outreach event, many interactive offerings of the various modern technologies team members use to enhance their science and technological skills will again be present. 

Clark, this year’s World Championship attending FIRST Robotics STEAMWORKS Competition robot will be shooting “fuel” and hanging from its airship rope.

Sophie, last year’s robot will be back shooting boulders from the 2016 game, Stronghold.

In addition to RoboMania various STEM activities that will see team members guide attendees of all ages through various hands on demonstrations of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.  Participants will be encouraged to try their skills at building, figuring out better solutions and understanding cool and fun STEM activities.

Team 1305 members, will be there to answer any questions about what opportunities there are for kids of all ages to participate in the world’s biggest program that exposes kids to fun, exciting technology that builds 21st-century work skills and greatly increases their motivation to seek education and careers in STEM fields.

The event will be running at Northgate’s Centre Court, tomorrow, Friday, September 8 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
