Motorcycle Ride for Dad will host its Annual Car Wash and BBQ on Saturday, June 10th, at the McKeown Ave, Gas Bar on Algonquin Ave beginning at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The carwash will be by donation and you can grab yourself a burger or a hotdog from Burger World on Algonquin while you watch your car get detailed.

"Prostate cancer is a needless killer for men, said Raymond Yelle, co-chair of the Nipissing chapter. "The more the community is aware and educated about prostate cancer, the less chance there is to lose the men in our lives to this terrible disease. The Motorcycle Ride for Dad not only raises funds to fight this disease, but it also gives men and their families a reason to talk about it."

Every dollar raised in our community stays in our community.

"Since 2008, 3000 motorcycle riders have registered for our ride. This year we are encouraging all of our riders to try and collect an extra $30 in pledges. If every participant collected an extra $30 in pledges it would impact our bottom line to the amount of $10,000. We would love to break the $40,000 barrier."

The TELUS Motorcycle Ride for Dad is Canada's largest annual motorcycle event dedicated to fighting prostate cancer through research and awareness.

Motorcycle riders, prostate cancer patients and their families, and non-riders can learn more about participating and donating by visiting www.motorcycleridefordad.ca We encourage everyone to register online at www.motorcycleridefordad.ca
