Refusing breath sample leads to charges

On March 18, at 3:17 a.m., North Bay OPP was conducting a Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) program on the Highway 11/17 bypass at Frost Street in North Bay when a vehicle was stopped. 

Police conducted an investigation and the driver of the vehicle Richard Vega Galvan, 25, of North Bay was charged with 'refusal to provide a sample of his breath'. 

Galvan is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on April 4.
