North Bay, ON. – MADD Nipissing Chapter kicks of its annual Project Red Ribbon campaign to prevent impaired driving this holiday season on November 20, 2014.

Media and the public are welcome to attend the Project Red Ribbon launch:

Date:               November 20, 2014

Location:        Northgate Shopping Centre (Aeropostale Court)

Time:               11:00am

MADD Canada’s largest and longest-running public awareness campaign, Project Red Ribbon raises awareness about the risks of impaired driving during the holiday season and encourages motorists to always drive sober.

Every day, on average, 4 Canadians are killed and 175 more are injured due to impairment-related crashes. MADD Canada Chapters and Community Leaders work to stop impaired driving and support victims of this violent crime.

Together with local partners, area businesses, the MADD Nipissing Chapter is asking residents of North Bay and area to show their commitment to sober driving this holiday season by tying a red ribbon to their vehicles, key chains, purses, briefcases and backpacks.

Red ribbons are available from MADD Nipissing at (705)474-6233 or [email protected], the MADD Canada web site, Allstate Insurance Company of Canada office and local participating retailers (please see MADD Nipissing website for a detailed list of participants).
