O’ the weather outside may have been frightful, but that didn't stop hundreds of people from coming to the Pro-Cathedral Parish Hall on Saturday, November 17, in support of the CWL of the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption’s Annual Christmas Bazaar & Tea.

With this year’s theme:  ‘Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow,’ close to $9 500 was raised in support of numerous charities including:

  • Right to Life,
  • School Breakfast Programs,
  • Meals on Wheels,
  • North Bay Food Bank,
  • Gathering Place,
  • Catholic Charities,
  • Development & Peace and the
  • Bursary Program.

“Our volunteers created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I am blessed to be surrounded by a team of experienced, dedicated and hard-working women whose efforts produced another successful Christmas Bazaar,” stated Lisa Henry, Pro-Cathedral CWL Bazaar & Tea convener. “The support of the church community never fails to bring hope to those who need it the most in North Bay.”

The national CWL theme of “Inspired by the Spirit Women respond to God’s call’ comes to fruition in each of the CWL volunteers and supporters through this Bazaar and Tea.  It enables the CWL to continue the vital work of giving back to our local and global communities.
