On September 29, the Feast of St Michael the Archangel, patron saint of police officers, children from the parish of St. Joseph Church and St. Gregory's school presented drawings and prayer cards of St. Michael to Officer Tom Green at the OPP detachment in Powassan.

Traditionally, police officers have had a devotion to St. Michael, the saint that is portrayed throughout the centuries as battling evil.

Young members of the Malone and Shepherd family were on hand for the presentation, along with Father Eric Mason from St. Joseph Church.
