The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is issuing a boil water advisory starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 for all residents of Port Loring who receive water though the village’s drinking water system. This boil water advisory is due to routine maintenance at the Port Loring (East Mills) Drinking Water System building. This will cause a water interruption and loss of pressure. The Ontario Clean Water Agency will be working towards a quick restoration of normal water supply. Any water consumed by people should be brought to a rolling boil and allowed to boil for one minute before using. Otherwise, the water is safe for adults to use for bathing purposes.  During the boil water advisory, Port Loring residents on the village’s water system should only use boiled water to: • Drink  • Brush their teeth • Wash foods that will be eaten raw, such as fruits and vegetables
