(LANSDOWNE, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (Project “P”) and the Canadian Border Services have arrested and charged a Mississauga man following a border crossing investigation.
On Dec 29, 2014 the Canadian Border Services conducted an investigation of a person crossing into Canada. As a result of this investigation, a laptop computer, external hard drive and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized.
On Dec 29, 2012, police arrested Lakhavir SINGH, 28 years old of Mississauga, Ontario and charged him with importation and possession of Child Pornography Internet.
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on Dec 30, 2014, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville, Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
