OPP have charged a Temiskaming Shores person with assaulting a child.
On September 16, officers assisted the North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services with a joint investigation into an assault of a 7-year-old child. The incidents occurred within the past few weeks in Temiskaming Shores.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old person from Temiskaming Shores was arrested and charged with assault.
The accused has been released on a Promise to Appear with conditions and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date in Temiskaming Shores.
No further information was provided by police.
