This coming Saturday,  Aug 7th, McGuinty Funeral Home invites the community to help “Pack The Pantry” for those in need by participating in its first community food drive at the local Metro from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All donations will benefit the West Nipissing Food Bank to support its organizational efforts of feeding locals and providing healthy food items to families, children, and individuals who are struggling.

“The fact that there are food insecure people, including children, in our city is devastating," says McGuinty Funeral Home owner, Steve Eide. "Having a food drive is how we can help the hungry and guarantee we’re doing our part to assist people in getting the vital food they need to survive."

West Nipissing Food Bank is in need of the following items:

  • Adult personal hygiene items (shampoo, body wash, hand sanitizer, etc.)
  • Pasta sauce, Kraft Dinner, large cans of soup
  • Children's school snacks (Gold Fish, granola bars, etc.)

The drive will be held at Metro located at 203 Front Street, in Sturgeon Falls.
