Outstanding warrant sees Englehart woman brought to North Bay

The driver, a 23-year-old resident of Englehart is charged with using a licence plate not authorized for her vehicle and transferred to the North Bay Police Service on the strength of the warrant

An Englehart woman, who was stopped by Temiskaming OPP for a traffic infraction in Englehart is being brought to North Bay.

Yesterday around 4 p.m. OPP the vehicle and preliminary investigation revealed that the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant from North Bay. 

The driver, a 23-year-old resident of Englehart is charged with using a licence plate not authorized for her vehicle and transferred to the North Bay Police Service on the strength of the warrant.

The passenger, a 25-year-old resident of Englehart has also been charged with:

  • Fail to apply for a permit on becoming the owner
  • Permit the use of a plate not authorized for the vehicle
  • Permit the motor vehicle to be operated without insurance
