Ouch! 100 motor vehicle collisions investigated by North Bay OPP in November

And 14 violent crimes

During the month of November, the North Bay Detachment of the OPP) responded to several calls for service including the following incidents:

  •  2 Impaired Driving (one by drug and one by alcohol);
  •  2 Warn Range Suspension;
  • 100 Motor Vehicle Collisions (14 Personal Injury);
  • 14 Violent Crimes;
  • 13 Property Crimes; and
  • 1 Drug Related Occurrence.

Acting Staff Sergeant, Bill McMullen, says "Drivers play an important a role in keeping winter roads and highways safe; the winter months are a particularly important time to stay focused on the road and on other vehicles and eliminate all distractions. Slow down, stay alert and stay in control."

Meanwhile, the Temiskaming Detachment of the OPP responded to over 850 calls for service which included:

  • 16 Violent related incidents
  • 34 Property related occurrences
  • Six Drug related cases
  • Three Impaired driving offences
  • 50 Motor vehicle collisions
