OPP warn of new delivery type scam

Do not accept any gift if you cannot verify who the sender was or if you must make a payment to accept the gift
Scam

Police say the fraudster will contact the victim to arrange a delivery.

When they arrive they deliver a gift basket and advise there is a fee to be paid which must be by credit or debit card.

Their debit machine is capable of capturing your credit card info and PIN.

Do not accept any gift if you cannot verify who the sender was or if you must make a payment to accept the gift.

Above all, the only time you should give out any personal credit/debit card information is when you yourself initiated the purchase or transaction.
