OPP were busy this week investigating domestic assaults.
On July 17, at1 p.m., the OPP responded to a complaint of a historical assault in Sturgeon Falls. As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old man from Sturgeon Falls was charged with Assault - Spousal.
Then on July 20, at 1:15 p.m., the OPP responded to a complaint of an assault in Cartier. As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old man from Cartier was charged with two counts of Assault - Spousal.
And on July 21, at 10:30 a.m., the OPP responded to a domestic disturbance in Cache Bay. The male suspect was not found, therefore, officers are seeking an arrest warrant for charges of:
- Mischief - Domestic,
- Mischief Under $5,000,
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge and
- Dangerous Driving.
Finally, on July 23, at 2:50 p.m., the OPP responded to a complaint of another assault in Cartier Township. As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old man from Onaping Falls, was charged with;
- Assault - Spousal,
- Forcible Confinement and
- Breach of Recognizance.
The OPP say they will not be releasing the names of accused persons in order to protect the identity of the victim.
