The North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the North Bay OPP Auxiliary Unit and 250 Clark in Powassan are hosting a Home Security Night event.

This is a free, drop-in, information night taking place on Thursday, July 19, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at 250 Clark in Powassan, Ontario. There will be numerous vendors available to discuss how to keep your home secure and to demonstrate their newest products.

Visitors are asked to come learn how new technologies can protect their home, business, camp or cottage.

Home Hardware will have BBQ burgers available for purchase.

The OPP Auxiliary Unit will be on hand to promote SafeGuard Ontario. SafeGuard Ontario is a community-based crime prevention program developed in direct support of our detachment frontline officers to help citizens "lock criminals out of house and home."

The SafeGuard program uses a problem-oriented policing approach and promotes the use of different home security products, so we are bringing some of these companies together under one roof. Price Signs, Jim's Locksmithing, HomePro, TRACE Identified, Crime Stoppers, Security Today, Home Hardware and True Home Surveillance will be on hand to discuss keeping your home, business and cottage secure.

If you have been thinking about ways to SafeGuard your property or have been a victim of property crime in the past, come out and discuss it with our security experts!
