OPP arrest fleeing man after he gets stuck in a snowbank

At approximately 4 p.m., on December 5, North Bay OPP officers responded to the complaint of a domestic dispute at a business in East Ferris.

While enroute to the call, officers were given the description of a vehicle and warned that the suspect had a knife with him. 

Officers saw the vehicle and turned around to follow. They found it in a driveway, stuck in the snowbank. 

The suspect began to run away but then turned toward police and was arrested without incident. 

A 19-year-old male from Huron East, Ontario, is charged with:

  • Two counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Two counts of Mischief Under $5,000 and
  • Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
