Regarding: Christmas train derailed by labour shortage

I have never experienced the Christmas train since I winter in Guelph and summer in Callander but it looks to be a marvelous tradition and expected by the children and parents alike.

Labour shortages are indeed a legitimate concern and probably a disappointment to the ONR employees as well.

We are seeing more events across the country with their responsibility being shared with the public for the very reason of reduced in-house help availability.

There is much talent and knowledge in North Bay for public display productions in areas such as the miniature train ride and carousel wherein the horses were all locally crafted.  And then there is the annual Santa Claus parade with all the fun participation crafting it together for a competitive venture by NB and area citizens.

And where might the movie industry existing in NB fit into all this with their resources and a possible gain of a 2020 Christmas production platform?

Of course, there is a valid concern of safely for those working on such a venture but perhaps the availability of complete ONR safe supervision may find a way to continue this wonderful sounding tradition.
