Open liquor on boat results in charge

A reminder that drinking in your boat isn't such a good idea.

On the afternoon of July 19,, at approximately 2:10 p.m. the OPP Marine Unit was on patrol on Lake Nosbonsing in Bonfield. It stopped at a vessel that was on the lake and saw a man with open liquor. 

Robert O'Halloran, 47, of Lakeshore, Ontario, is charged with:

  • Having liquor in open container in other than licenced premises, residence or private place.

Meanwhile, on July 20, the Marine Unit was on patrol and saw a pleasure craft with two men, fishing on Jack's Lake in East Mills Township. 

Further investigation showed that they were fishing without a licence.

Michael Bianchi and Justin Kjarsgaard, both 18, and from Burlington, were charged with:
