Trojan Theatre, West Ferris Secondary’s extra-curricular group, is excited to perform the classic, “Of Mice and Men” this coming Thursday, December 21 at 7 p.m. in their auditorium.

The play follows two friends, George and Lennie, as they drift across California during the Great Depression. Both land jobs at a local farm, but trouble brews when the giant child-like Lennie falls for the owner’s daughter.

“The real challenge was learning a southern California accent from the 1930’s, but I feel we pulled it off,” says Joe Drinkwalter, a student who plays the character of George.

Director and teacher, Allan MacAskill, is proud of his student’s work.

“They have been working on this play since September and are more than ready for an audience.”

Tickets are $5 and are available at the door of the West Ferris Auditorium.
