North Bay Navy League Corps secure four awards at Regionals

The North Bay Navy League Corps took home four out of six awards at their Regional Squadron Competitions last weekend in Sault Ste. Marie. They placed in the top three in every competition: First in Drill, First in First Aid, Second in Seamanship, and Third in Semaphore.

They also took home the trophies for Top Drill Team Captain and Top Overall Corps. They will go on to Provincial Competitions in Trenton this upcoming weekend for Drill and First Aid.

This is the third year in a row that North Bay has taken home the regional award for Top Overall Corps.

This free program meets weekly, September through June and the objectives of “The Navy League Cadet Corps" are to give young girls and boys (aged between 9 and 12) the opportunity to develop good mental, moral and physical training, to develop patriotism, good citizenship, a sense of duty, discipline, self-respect, and to respect others, in a Naval environment suited for young people.
