North Bay man faces charges related to domestic incident

He is also accused of assaulting her and threatening her in their shared residence on Sunday, May 15th.

Following an investigation into a domestic incident that occurred in a North Bay residence shortly before midnight on Sunday May 15th, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

A 33-year old North Bay man with:

  • Three counts of assault;
  • One count of assault with a weapon; and
  • One count of uttering threats.

It is alleged that in November 2013, the accused assaulted his female partner with a household object in their shared residence. It is also alleged that on separate occasions in March 2014 and in April 2016, the accused assaulted her in their shared residence. He is also accused of assaulting her and threatening her in their shared residence on Sunday, May 15th.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of these alleged assaults.

The accused, whose name the North Bay Police Service is withholding in the interest of protecting the identity of the victim, was held in custody for a bail hearing.
