QUEEN’S PARK – A new Speaker’s Book Award is being established for young authors in Ontario, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli said today.

 

The Young Authors Award will be given to a published Ontario author between the ages of 18 to 30 whose work offers a youthful perspective to our province’s writing scene.

 

Submitted books may be on any subject matter including fiction, non-fiction, poetry or graphic novels; however, special consideration will be given to works centering on our province’s history, culture and diversity.

 

Submissions are now being accepted until December 12th, 2014.

 

The winner of the Young Authors Award will be announced at the Speaker’s Book Award ceremony in March 2015.
