No number plate light results in multiple charges

 A vehicle operating with no number plate light caught the eye of an East Algoma OPP officer regular patrol duties early Saturday morning.

Police subsequently stopped the vehicle and spoke to the female driver. 

A strong odour of alcohol was detected emanating from her breath and she was also required to have an ignition interlock system in her vehicle, and did not. 

The woman was arrested, driver's license suspended, and the vehicle was towed.

Sharon Nicholls, 63, from Elliot Lake, is charged with:

  • Driving while ability Impaired - motor vehicle (Alcohol),
  • Driving while more than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in blood,
  • Driving while Disqualified - court order.
