The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario (CSPNE) has appointed two new Vice-Principals at North Bay and Sturgeon Falls elementary schools.
Natasha Lessard will assume the position of Interim Vice-Principal at École publique Jeunesse Active in Sturgeon Falls until the end of this school year. She will then take the position of Vice-Principal at École publique Héritage in North Bay in August.
Natalie Davis will be the vice-principal of Jeunesse Active as of the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year.
"A teacher since 2003, Lessard has been working as part of the CSPNE team since 2019, primarily at École publique Héritage in North Bay and as an Identity Development Coordinator since September 2021 as a member of the systemic team. Over the years, she has demonstrated great leadership and community engagement that will benefit the entire North Bay school and broader community," says a news release.
This appointment follows the announcement that Pauline Lacroix, Héritage's current Vice-Principal, will retire this July.
"Davis has been part of the CSPNE educational landscape since 2005 when she held positions as a teacher, designated teacher, consultant and educational leader in the North Bay and Parry Sound area. In order to accompany her students at École publique aux Quatre-Vents in Parry Sound until the end of the current school year, Ms. Davis will assume her new duties at École publique Jeunesse Active at the beginning of the new school year. Her desire to collaborate and her commitment to providing a quality educational experience make her a motivated candidate to contribute positively to the French public school environment in the Sturgeon Falls area," continues the release.
Until Davis begins her role as Vice-Principal, Lessard will serve in this position on an interim basis. The position of Vice-Principal at Jeunesse Active was left vacant when Mélissa Pépin was appointed to the position of principal last December.
