City Council has adopted a new planning process in an effort to improve delivery of services to the community in an efficient and effective manner.
The new process includes the removal of the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) thus accelerating, depending on complexity of application, the development approvals process.
In lieu of the PAC, a 30 day consultation period will be implemented that will allow the public and stakeholders the opportunity to speak directly to the Planning Department about their concerns or for clarification regarding the development proposal.
"This new approach ensures that the City is meeting legislative requirements and providing an opportunity for input from the public, agencies, and stakeholders, while reducing development application approval time," says a news release from the city.
