The Canadian Cancer Society will announce that Kim Kanmacher is their community fundraising specialist for North Bay at an event this week.
"Kim is a respected member in the community and a long-time advocate of those affected by cancer," says a media advisory.
“I am honoured and inspired to give leadership to this amazing community opportunity with the Canadian Cancer Society, as we continue to work together towards a world where no Canadian fears cancer,” said Kanmacher, in the release.

Kanmacher previously worked at the North Bay YMCA.
The event takes place on Thursday, February 27 at 176 Lakeshore Drive at 10:30.
The Canadian Cancer Society is the only national charity that supports Canadians with all cancers in communities across the country.
