For 70 years in North Bay, since 1946, Kiwanis members have promoted & built legacy projects, developed leaders and community programs that make a difference to all involved.
In 2016-17, something new has commenced. Kiwanis Club of Nipissing is looking to sponsor a Circle K club in North Bay as we felt it was time to re-visit this initiative.
This Thursday’s Nov. 17 Nipissing Kiwanis Circle K Warm Up to Winter Concert at Nipissing University Theatre at 7:30pm (doors open at 7:00pm). Admission is a donation of winter clothing or a non-perishable food item which will be circulated on Campus and in the community.
‘Our initial event will see Circle K members in partnership with NUSU Cares and the NUSU-CSC Best Buddies Chapter featuring our Special Guests The NU Eddie Band, says Celentano. Music performances [inspired by last month's TORQ percussion performance at SJ-SH endorsed by Music Makes Us North Bay Coalition] include: Eddie Band Music Director Prof. Mary Thornton will showcase numerous groups performing: body percussion, bucket drumming, concert band, inviting audience participation and special guest group.
