The North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) Foundation Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Luc Lalonde as the newly elected Chair

Lalonde, who joined the Foundation Board of Trustees in 2009, says he believes in the importance of giving back to the community and sees this appointment as a way to help make a difference in the lives of others.  “Health is the most precious gift of all, and sooner or later we all need the services of our hospital,’ Lalonde says. “We have amazing physicians and staff at NBRHC and as a community, by supporting the purchase of medical equipment, we can ensure that we also have access to advanced levels of care.”

Tammy Morison, NBRHC Foundation President and CEO says Lalonde succeeds Guido Verrillo who led the Board as Chair from 2014 to 2016 and will remain in the position of Past Chair. “Luc has demonstrated exceptional leadership with our Board. We are grateful for his knowledge and expertise that is guiding several committees and initiatives which is helping to enhance our healthcare, close to home,” Morison says.

Born and raised in North Bay, Lalonde lived in Ottawa and Montreal for a number of years to pursue his education and career aspirations.  He returned in 1991 when he became involved in his family’s business, J.P. Investments Limited, primarily a commercial real estate, development and management company.

Since joining the Foundation Board, he has worked tirelessly to help ensure our community has access to care, close to home through his involvement as a Cabinet Volunteer in both the Caring for Generations and Seeing More Clearly campaigns, both raised the community share for the building of the new health centre and funding the MRI and other Diagnostic Imaging equipment to serve our district respectively.
