Jeremy Stevenson, the new CEO of the North East Local Health Integration Network took his oath of office with Board Chair Ronald Farrell, and Vice-President of Corporate Services Cathy Bailey says a news release.

 

As part of the oath he swore to “faithfully discharge my duties as a public servant” including respecting provincial and federal laws, as well as recognizing “Aboriginal and treaty rights of Indigenous peoples in the Constitution.”

 

Stevenson spent the day with the leadership team in North Bay mapping out priorities and a work plan for the months ahead as the LHIN focusses on health system transformation and improving the patient experience, system performance and the health of people living in Northeastern Ontario says the release.

 

Stevenson is focusing his first 90 days in office on meeting with his team of 700 staff who live and work out of 20 offices across Northeastern Ontario.

 

The North East LHIN is responsible for planning, funding and integrating health care for the 565,000 people who call Northeastern Ontario home. In addition, the North East LHIN delivers home and community care to 17,000 Northerners.
