A school naming committee has been formed by the Director of Education to establish a process to invite suggested names for the former Land of Lakes Public School in Burk’s Falls.

 

The committee is seeking the input from the public, as well as seeking direct input from students, parent council and staff.

 

Submissions should include reasoning for the name, background or history of the suggested name, and the submitter’s name, address and telephone number. Submissions should be sent in writing by Tuesday, March 21 by 4:00 p.m. to the attention of The Former Land of Lakes Public School Naming Committee, c/o The Parry Sound Resource Centre, 111 Isabella Street, Parry Sound, P2A 1N2. Submissions can be sent by email to Carla.Cusiter@nearnorthschools.ca or by fax to 705-472-9927. Submissions can also be dropped off in person at M.A. Wittick Public School.
