The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for dumping a large amount of litter on public land west of New Liskeard.

On the afternoon of July 18, 2017, a red tractor trailer cab with a dump box was observed heading south on Wabi Pit Line in Kerns Township. Shortly after, the truck left the area, going eastbound on Highland Road. Members of the public later discovered a large pile of debris deposited on public land at the south end of Wabi Pit Line and notified conservation officers. The material is a mix of scrap metal and earth, suggesting it originated from the demolition of a building or the cleanup of an industrial site.

The ministry is looking for information from anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the activity, or who has information regarding the individual or individuals who committed the violation.

If you have any information about this incident, please contact the MNRF TIPS line at 1-877-847-7667 toll-free any time, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477
