On February 13th West Nipissing police were contacted by a local business owner who indicated that he had found some pills at his business.

Police responded and took the pills into their care.

The pills were identified as methamphetamine and will be disposed of properly.

In light of the current opioid crisis, police want the public to use extreme caution when handling unknown pills or powdered substances. Substances such as Fentanyl and Car-fentanyl can be extremely hazardous or even deadly.

When in doubt about a substance contact the police and don’t risk exposing yourself to the potential dangers.

Also, on February 14th a Park Street resident contacted to the police to report that damage had been caused to two of her vehicles. Police learned that two tires on each of the vehicles had been slashed. There is no suspect and police continue their investigation.
