On July 21, at 11:30 p.m., members of the West Parry Sound OPP were called to a marina on Healey Lake Road for reports of a vessel involved in a collision at an island in The Archipelago Township.
Investigation revealed that a 23 foot boat was being operated on the waters of Georgian Bay when it collided with a dock. A female passenger of the vessel was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Peter Egger, 49 years of age from Fergus, Ontario was charged with "Operating a Vessel In An Unsafe Manner", contrary to the Canada Shipping Act.
