Students and staff at St. Gregory Elementary School took part in an exciting assembly this week, celebrating a donation of $2,500 worth of books from the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation.

“We are so excited to add these beautiful new books to our restructured reading environment,” says Shelly Warren, Principal at St. Gregory School. “It is really important to develop literacy skills at a young age and provide reading material students enjoy. We are grateful to the Love of Reading Foundation for enriching our reading library.”

Since 2004, the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation has committed $26 million in funding to more than 3,000 elementary school libraries. Students at St. Gregory will now be able to enjoy a wide variety of new books from their favourite authors.

“The staff and customers at our North Bay location are continuously committed to the Love of Reading program and the profound impact it has on ensuring kids stay interested in reading by updating school libraries,” says Tracy Mirza, General Manager at Coles Bookstore in North Bay. “It was our pleasure to raise the funds for St. Gregory and we are so excited to get these new books into the hands of the children at the school.”
