A well-known city police officer, Paul-Emile Lavigne, has died after a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
He died on Saturday September 8, at the age of 65.
The family says Paul was looking forward to meeting his great-granddaughter, due in a few weeks.
He was the husband of Jo-Anne (nee Fournier) for 46 years.
Paul was a police officer with the North Bay Police Service for 34 years. As an outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a passion for golf.
Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
