Local high school students collecting for the annual Fall Food Drive

Students from St. Joseph-Scollard Hall, will kick off their food drive on Thursday, September 21st. to collect non-perishable food items for the North Bay Food Bank.

From 5. to 8 p.m., students will be canvassing West Ferris between Judge Ave. and the water treatment facility; the downtown core from the overpass to High St.; from Oak St. to the bypass; and the section along Trout Lake Road from the bypass to Connaught (including Kingsway, Alexander, Laurentian, and McKay).

More high schools will head out later this month to collect food.

The annual fall food drive helps give shelves at the food bank a boost.

September’s Food of the Month is peanut butter.

The food bank is located at 1016 Fisher Street in North Bay and is open to serve clients Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon, and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
