Now until Sunday, October 11th, Dairy Queen customers in North Bay are being asked to support sick kids by ordering from local Dairy Queen stores. Promotions will raise funds for The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto to support the children and families in need.

Promotions, which vary depending on DQ location, include:

  • $2 or more donated from every Blizzard sold
  • $5 for every DQ Cake or Blizzard Cake 8" or larger sold

Funds will be raised through in-store, pick-up and drive thru orders.

In addition to the in-store fundraising, Dairy Queen is calling on you to take part in the DQ Dance Challenge with a goal to spread joy through movement as a simple way to raise money to provide healing and happiness to kids across Canada.

Dairy Queen’s Dance Challenge asks Canadians to do the DQ Dip & Curl Dance, a simple 3-step dance routine inspired by DQ’s iconic soft dipped cone. From now until October 11th, every time someone posts a video of them doing the DQ Dip and Curl dance to Instagram and/or Facebook using the hashtag #DQDanceChallenge and tagging @DQCanada, DQ will donate $1 to local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network up to $25,000.

On average, 35,000 children enter a Children’s Miracle Network hospital each week. That’s 5,000 per day or 62 per minute. To support the children and their families receiving treatment at The Hospital for Sick Children, Dairy Queen employees, franchiees, volunteers and stakeholders come together throughout the year to help raise funds. Since the partnership began in 1984, DQ® has become a top contributor to Children’s Miracle Network, with over $135 million raised to-date in support of sick and injured children across North America.
