Police investigated a break-in on Lakeshore Drive.

North Bay police were called to a business on Lakeshore Drive shortly after 3:30 a.m. this morning as a result of an alarm activation.

Entry had been gained to the business, however, when the alarm was activated the lone thief fled the scene. Nothing was stolen.

Video surveillance, according to police, showed the suspect was wearing a mask, gloves and a hoodie.

Police say that a good quality alarm system and video surveillance are all part of protecting your business or home.

"It does not exempt you from becoming a victim but it certainly helps to deter the chance," says a news release.
