If the City of North Bay wants more people to take Public Transit more often, then it must transform this Service into one that is more desirable for people to use.  It needs to be the smart, cost-effective & convenient way for people in North Bay to get around our great City whenever they want to.  This includes making it easier for customers to buy City bus passes whenever they need to:

Sell All Transit Passes directly on City Buses - instead of the current restrictions.

Accept convenient credit card & Interac POSpayments on City Buses - so that bus drivers won’t have to carry very much cash.

Provide more convenient bus-stops so that customers can get reasonably close to their destination.  For example, provide bus-stops near Walmart’s main entrance, as well as Parkers Independent Grocer.

Carefully select & prepare the location of each bus-stop so that the customer does not land in the middle of no-where when they are let off the bus.  For example, the current bus-stop on Gordon Avenue (before turning right on Laurentian Avenue) lands the customer in the middle of no-where with no protection from the elements & with no platform to stand on.  Being let off in a ditch is hardly conducive to customer safety, especially seniors.

Provide each bus shelter with a working LED light powered by battery powered solar cells.
