Health Unit offering COVID-19 vaccine clinics this week

Individuals aged 18 and older are eligible to receive the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine as a booster dose if the recommended six months (168 days) have passed since their last dose or COVID-19 infection

COVID-19 vaccine clinics will take place in Nipissing and Parry Sound districts this week for individuals aged six months and older. Clinics in Mattawa, North Bay and Parry Sound are by appointment only. Individuals should bring a health card or another form of identification, if possible.

Individuals aged 18 and older are eligible to receive the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine as a booster dose if the recommended six months (168 days) have passed since their last dose or COVID-19 infection. Individuals who are at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19 may be better protected if they receive a booster dose 84 days after a COVID-19 infection or last dose.

The following clinics will take place this week:

Burk’s Falls

  • Walk-in clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Royal Canadian Legion (9 Mary St., Burk’s Falls) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Kearney

  • Walk-in clinic on Friday, Oct. 7 at Kearney Municipal Office (8 Main St., Kearney) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Mattawa

  • Monday, Oct. 3 at Mattawa Golden Age Club (464 Poplar St., Mattawa) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

North Bay

  • Friday, Oct. 7 at Elks Lodge (325 Elks Ln., North Bay) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Parry Sound

  • Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Parry Sound Mall (70 Joseph St., Parry Sound) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Face coverings are required at all clinics.

Eligible individuals can book an appointment online at Ontario.ca/BookVaccine, or by calling the Health Unit call centre at 1-844-478-1400. Private appointments can be made through participating pharmacies in the Parry Sound and Nipissing districts.
