Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North welcomed a new face this month.

Kimberley Woodcock assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer for the non-profit organization.

Armed with 10 years of consulting experience, Woodcock will be returning to her roots in Northern Ontario to manage the day-to-day operations of Habitat for Humanity OGN and work to further develop strong foundations from which the organization can move forward and continue to grow.

“We look forward to welcoming Kimberley Woodcock to our team and strongly believe she will apply her expertise to developing and strengthening the organization,” says Michael Price, Habitat for Humanity OGN’s Chair in a news release.

Born and raised in Stratford, Woodcock attended the University of Western Ontario attaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Ecology. In 2007, Woodcock was recruited by the United Arab Emirates Military Headquarters to develop and lead a special unit at the Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi. During her tenure, she attained an MBA with a specialization in Managing People and Organizations.

Upon graduation, Strathclyde University duly appointed her as a lecturer and counsellor within the MBA program. With a strong appetite to develop and broaden her professional profile, Woodcock opted for a career change in 2009 by establishing an international consulting firm based in Dubai. Focused on the competency development and capacity building needs of the Middle East region, the company served the healthcare, education, non-profit and energy governmental sectors.

After 10 successful years in Dubai, Woodcock recently decided to return home to Muskoka to be closer to her family. She looks forward to leading the organization in partnering with low income, hard-working families to help build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Habitat for Humanity OGN recognizes and thanks Tom Phillips for his commitment and service as the organization’s interim CEO over the past nine months and former board member from February of 2015 until May of 2017.
