This summer the Near North District School Board is offering a three-week summer camp for young filmmakers. The summer camp is being offered for free to Grade 6, 7 and 8 students.
REEL Writers Summer Camp will focus on providing participants with an engaging, creative, and collaborative learning experiences through the lens of "film maker". Students will be able to explore their own ideas and bring them to life through writing, fine art, photography and video and learn how to tell their story, work as part of a team.
The REEL Writer Summer Camp will run from July 3, to July 20, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. each day.
REEL Writers Summer Camps are available to students in each region of the district in the following locations:
- North Region - Widdifield Secondary School
- East Region - Almaguin Highlands Secondary School
- West Region - Parry Sound High School
