On March 02, 2017, would be fraudsters, called the Orillia OPP detachment stating they were from the Canada Revenue Agency.
The fraudsters left a message with a phone number of 1-844-821-5794.
An officer from the detachment called them back and when the people answered the phone they were greeted with a barrage of questions that frustrated them causing them to hang up.
A Google search revealed this to be a scam and the number to be connected to fraudulent behaviour.
