Yesterday, shortly before 5 a.m., West Parry Sound OPP responded to a fatal fire at a home in Whitestone, west of Sundridge.
The Whitestone Fire Department and the Magnetawan Fire Department fought the house fire but it was fully engulfed in flames.
A single body has been recovered.
The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed.
Members of the West Parry Sound OPP Detachment, West Parry Sound Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services are working with The Ontario Coroner's Office and The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal on the investigation.
