Emsdale trucker faces charges after Highway 11 closed

The highway was re-opened at approximately 12:20 p.m.

Today, shortly after 4 a.m., Kirkland Lake OPP officers responded to a truck accident on Highway 11 in Otto Township. 

Investigation revealed that the tractor-trailer had been travelling northbound on Highway 11, when it struck the shoulder, flipping sideways into the northbound ditch. The truck was being removed during daylight hours today. 

The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Robbins, 54, of Emsdale, was not injured but is charged with:

  • Unsafe move-lane or shoulder.

Highway 11 Otto Township was closed for about two hours in both directions to remove the vehicle from the ditch. The highway was re-opened at approximately 12:20 p.m.
