On November 1st, police were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision on Dutrisac Rd near Quesnel Rd.  While speaking with the driver an odor of alcohol was noticed coming from the driver’s breath.  A Roadside Screening test revealed that the driver had consumed alcohol but had only registered a “WARN”.  The female driver was issued a three day driver’s license suspension.

Police obtained a description of the vehicle and later located it at a residence on Nipissing St.  The 21 year old suspect was arrested and charged with Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent and later released on a Promise to Appear.

On November 5th, officers were dispatched to a drinking establishment located on Main St after receiving a call from the owner regarding a male who didn’t want to leave the premises.  Police attended and spoke with the male who didn’t want to identify himself.  He was arrested and bought back to police headquarters where he was lodged in a holding cell.  This male was eventually identified and upon querying him, it was found that he had a court ordered condition not to consume alcohol.  The 25 year old Sturgeon Falls resident was kept in custody and later brought to bail court.
