Domestic violence stats for the month of July 2015

News Release *************** Over the month of July 2015, the North Bay Police Service responded to 102 domestic occurrences . As a result of police investigations into these complaints, 19 people were charged.

Over the month of July 2015, the North Bay Police Service responded to 102 domestic occurrences. As a result of police investigations into these complaints, 19 people were charged.

15 men were charged with the following criminal offences (# of times charge was laid):

·         assault (17)

·         assault with a weapon (4)

·         mischief (8)

·         uttering threats (7)

·         theft under $5000 (4)

·         criminal harassment (1)

·         forcible confinement (2)

·         obstruct police (1)

·         sexual assault (2)

·         break and enter (1)

·         breaches (21)

 

Four women were charged with the following criminal offences (# of times charge was laid):

·         assault (2)

·         theft under $5000 (1)

·         obstruct police (1)

·         breaches (3)
