Debit card fraudulently used to withdraw $700

On September 28 at 10:30 a.m., Nipissing West OPP responded to a fraud complaint in Sturgeon Falls.

Investigation revealed between September 24-28 the victim's debit card was fraudulently used to withdraw approximately $700 from a bank account.

As a result of further investigation, officers were able to identify the person responsible. 

On the afternoon of October 25, a woman was located and arrested.

Tina Mireille Monette, 33, from Nipissing First Nation, is charged with "fraud Under $5,000."

Monette was released by way of an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on December 2.
