News Release: On Saturday, September 26th, Orchards Fresh Food Market is hosting its first Annual Charity Corn Roast in support of the North Bay Food Bank.
They ask that community neighbours bring a non-perishable food donation and/or and $1 donation per corn cob. Proceeds go to the North Bay Food Bank
The corn roast will take place from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Orchards, located at 2621 Trout Lake Road.
Food bank manager Amber Livingstone said, “This is a great event to wrap up Hunger Awareness Week. I hope that we see lots of smiling faces at the corn roast on Saturday.”
The North Bay Food Bank is available to take food and monetary donations year round. The food bank is located at 1016 Fisher Street in North Bay and is open to serve clients Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
