The Ontario government will spend $30 million with 14 municipalities to repair roads and bridges through the Connecting Links Program.
Included is Highway 17 in West Nipissing. The municipality will get $ 442,351 for design work for the Champlain Bridge replacement over the Sturgeon River.
Eligible costs include the design, construction, renewal, rehabilitation and replacement of municipal roads and bridges that connect two ends of a provincial highway through a community or to a border crossing.
The Connecting Links Program funding provides eligible municipalities up to 90 per cent of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $3 million for road projects.
